AI consulting for personal injury firms
We don't run AI experiments. We build production agents that do the work your team is drowning in — medical chronologies, bill and lien reconciliation, demand packages, and the management reporting that tells you exactly where your cases are stalling.
Built by a practicing PI attorney and AI engineers — for Filevine, Litify, SmartAdvocate, CASEpeer, Neos, Clio and the rest, on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
What we build
Every engagement starts with a real problem and ends with a working system your staff uses on live files. These are the four we get asked for most — but the point is to build what your firm actually needs.
The agent reads every record, bill, and ledger in the file — from your DMS or case management system — and produces a dated chronology cross-referenced against billed charges, health insurance payments and adjustments, and outstanding liens.
A drafting agent trained on your firm's own demands, your voice, and your venue. It pulls liability facts, treatment history, and special damages straight from the file and returns a demand your attorney edits rather than writes.
We instrument your case management data to show how long a matter actually spends in each phase — intake, treatment, records collection, demand, negotiation, litigation — and where the time is quietly going.
The unglamorous work that eats capacity. Agents that keep the file moving without a human babysitting a checklist.
Why firms hire us
Most firms have already tried AI. Someone pasted records into a chatbot, got something impressive-looking, and nothing changed. The gap is never the model — it's the plumbing, the verification, and the workflow around it.
No tool tour. We look at where files sit, what your staff redoes, and what a delay costs you — then scope the smallest agent that fixes it.
Whatever you run — Filevine, Litify, SmartAdvocate, CASEpeer, Neos, Clio — on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. Agents use the systems and templates you already pay for. No new portal to log into.
Every output is cited back to a source page or a line in a ledger. Nothing goes out the door without an attorney's review, and the system is built to make that review fast.
A practicing personal injury attorney is on the build team. We speak in liens, UM/UIM, meds specials, and policy limits — not in tokens and embeddings.
Success is files closed faster, higher settlements, and capacity freed — reported in the same terms you run the firm on.
We train your team, document the system, and hand it over. You are not renting a black box you can't operate without us.
Who you're working with
Most legal AI is designed by engineers who have never had to get a demand out before a statute runs. Ours isn't.
Practicing personal injury attorney. Built and now runs these agents inside his own firm before recommending them to anyone else's.
Peter Hess is a personal injury attorney who got tired of watching good staff spend days assembling chronologies and reconciling bills. Rather than wait for a vendor to ship something usable, he partnered with AI engineers and built it — against his own live files.
That work is the foundation of what we sell. The agents are connected to Filevine for case and document management and to Microsoft 365 and Outlook for the correspondence, calendaring, and deadline work that surrounds every file. They pull real records from a real DMS, produce work product a real attorney signs off on, and get corrected when they're wrong — because the person reviewing the output is the person who has to send it.
It means we arrive at your firm having already solved the hard parts: how to get clean data out of a case management system, how to keep an agent inside your own Microsoft or Google tenant and your confidentiality obligations, how to structure a chronology so an adjuster can follow it, and how to build review steps a busy attorney will actually use instead of route around. Those lessons port across platforms — and the engineers Peter works with build across all of them, whatever your firm happens to run.
When we say we're not selling you a pilot — this is why. We're selling you something that already runs in a personal injury practice.
Systems we work in
Every major personal injury case management system, both office suites, and the intake and document tools that sit around them. You should not have to change software to get value out of AI — and we will never tell you to.
Running in production today. Filevine with Microsoft 365 is the stack inside our own personal injury firm, so on that combination we can show you a working system rather than a slide. Everywhere else we build through the platform's API where one exists, and through structured document and data exports where one doesn't — and we confirm exactly what your system will give us during the diagnostic, before you commit to a scope.
How it works
A typical first build is scoped in weeks, not quarters.
A half-day working session with your attorneys, paralegals, and case managers. We map how a file actually moves, pull cycle-time data from your case management system, and quantify where the capacity and revenue are leaking.
We pick a single high-value bottleneck and define exactly what "working" means — the output format, the accuracy standard, who reviews it, and what it replaces. You get a fixed scope and a fixed price before anything is built.
We build the agent against your real documents and templates, wire it into your systems, and put verification and audit trails around every output.
Your team uses it on real cases, side by side with the current process, until the output beats what a human does by hand. We tune it on your feedback, not on a demo dataset.
Training, documentation, and a scorecard: time saved per file, cycle time before and after, and the revenue effect. Then we decide together whether there's a second problem worth solving.
Questions
No — it removes the work that keeps them from doing legal work. Firms that use this well don't cut staff; they carry more files per person, shorten cycle time, and stop paying senior people to assemble spreadsheets.
Everything is built inside infrastructure your firm controls, with client data handled under your existing confidentiality obligations. We use enterprise AI services with no training on your data, scope access to the minimum needed, and log every action the agent takes. We'll walk your firm through the specifics — including your state's ethics guidance on AI and supervision — before anything touches a live file.
Ungoverned AI will. That's why every output we build is grounded in your source documents and cited back to a page or a ledger line, and why the workflows are designed for fast attorney verification. The agent's job is to assemble and cross-check, not to invent. Final judgment stays with the lawyer, always.
All of the major personal injury platforms — Filevine, Litify, SmartAdvocate, CASEpeer, Assembly Neos and Needles, CloudLex, Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther — and both office suites, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, with equal comfort. We build through the platform's API where one exists and through structured document and data exports where one doesn't, so a closed system is rarely a dead end. Filevine with Microsoft 365 happens to be the stack in our own firm, which means on that combination we can show you something already running. Part of the diagnostic is confirming exactly what your system will and won't give us before we scope the work.
The diagnostic is a flat fee. Each build is quoted at a fixed price against a defined scope, so you know the number before work starts. Most first engagements pay for themselves in recovered paralegal hours alone — the cycle-time gains are on top of that.
We work with firms from a few attorneys to multi-office practices. What matters is volume and repetition: if the same task happens on every file, it's worth automating.
Tell us the one task that eats the most hours in your firm. We'll tell you — honestly — whether an agent can solve it, what it would take, and what it's worth.
